Alex Stevens graduated with his Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering (minor in Electrical Engineering) from University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2023. He is currently a PhD Student under Dr. Mazumdar researching advanced measurement techniques using lasers to study combustion. As an undergrad, he was team captain of an electric car team, had a co-op at Collin’s aerospace, and assisted with magnet design in the Wave Propagation and Metamaterials Lab. After graduating he worked at an engineering consulting company programing factory computers (PLC’s and HMI’s) before coming to Georgia Tech to start his PhD.
