The Georgia Tech combustion team is constantly innovating new combustor concepts.  A recent such concept is the Non-premixed, Rich, Relaxation, Lean (NRRL) concept.  This combustor offers low NOx, excellent turndown, and good fuel flexibility.  The concept was published in the Turbo Expo where it was presented by Shivam Patel, and in GPPS where it was presented by Dr. Emerson.  Co-authors on this work include Ben Emerson, Shivam Patel, Srujan Gubbi, Randy McKinney, David Wu, Bobby Noble (EPRI), and Tim Lieuwen.
