Shivam Patel and Navya Narayanam present BTZ research during NASA ULI annual review.  The project is a multi university effort titled Leading Advanced Turbine Research for Hybrid Electric Propulsion Systems.  Under this project, BTZ researchers are investigating "clean sheet" combustor concepts for hybrid electric aviation propulsion in 2040.  The clean sheet combustors must accommodate the operational flexibility and small core requirements of hybrid gas turbine cycles, while simultaneously delivering improved NOx and particulate emissions.  Thank you to our Penn State partners for hosting the event!
